Bridgepoint Education Receives BEST Award from the Association for Talent Development
Award recognizes organizational commitment to developing talent

Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI) is proud to announce that it has been named a recipient of the Association for Talent Development’s (ATD) 2016 BEST Awards. The BEST Awards recognize organizations that demonstrate enterprise-wide success through talent development. Bridgepoint was among 36 organizations from six countries to receive a 2016 BEST Award. All winners are featured in a special section of the October 2016 issue of TD, ATD’s monthly publication.

Molly Santillo, senior learning and development specialist at Bridgepoint, accepted the BEST Award on behalf of the company’s learning and development team during the BEST Award ceremony held in Washington D.C. on October 5. As a winning organization, Bridgepoint was also invited by ATD to present at the organization’s Learn from the BEST conference, held prior to the ceremony. Santillo delivered a session on “Developing the Millennial Generation” at the event.

“Bridgepoint Education is honored to receive this recognition and BEST Award from the Association for Talent Development,” said Marc Brown, chief human resources officer at Bridgepoint Education. “It's exciting to see the positive impact of continuous investment in our people. We have seen first-hand how developing talent can help our organization and academic institutions, Ashford University and University of the Rockies, provide an outstanding experience for students.”

The BEST Awards are the talent development industry’s most rigorous and coveted recognition. “Creating innovative, vibrant learning cultures and developing talent in ways that clearly contribute to strategic business goals, are hallmarks of ATD BEST winners,” said Tony Bingham, ATD president and chief executive officer. “They get it. Leaders in these organizations value the impact that talent development achieves, because they know that having a knowledgeable and skilled workforce drives success.”

Bridgepoint competed against nearly 150 organizations from 13 countries. Every organization submitted quantitative and qualitative information to ATD about their talent development practices and programs. Applications were reviewed by members of the BEST Awards advisory committee, a selected group of experts in the field.
