Bridgepoint Education Supports Burgeoning Young Minds at San Diego Science Festival's Science of Sports
Day four at the San Diego Science Festival features the physics of athletics

In support of the annual San Diego Science Festival, Bridgepoint Education (NYSE: BPI) has sponsored the Science of Sports, a youth-oriented exploration of the thinking and theory behind sporting equipment and athletic activity.

Working with San Diego Sports Innovators and the San Diego Hall of Champions, the Science of Sports is slated for a full day of helping kids understand the science that makes sports go, including surfboard shaping, the flight of a basketball, the function of a batting cage, football materials and the interaction of golf club and ball. On location to explain the science will be the people behind these designs, including inventors, entrepreneurs and scientists.

“Bridgepoint is happy to help expand the minds of San Diego’s youth,” stated Shari Rodriguez, Bridgepoint Education’s associate vice president of Public Relations. “Our future depends on curious, engaged children.”

The Science of Sports runs from 10 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. on March 22, a part of Day 4 at the San Diego Science Festival. For more details, visit sdsciencefestival.com.
