Bridgepoint Education's University of the Rockies to Offer New Specialization in International Leadership

Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI), a provider of post-secondary education services focused on providing higher access to higher education, announced today that University of the Rockies, a graduate school specializing in psychology programs at the master's and doctoral levels, will offer a new specialization in International Leadership for its students working toward a Master of Arts in Psychology or a Doctor of Psychology degree.

Graduates with this specialization will be positioned to pursue such careers as: International Operations Manager, General Manager of Operations in a foreign country, senior level Human Resources positions in multinational corporations, International Business Development Manager or Executive, Director or Manager of Expatriate Human Resources, and Foreign Government Liaison.

"This new specialization in International Leadership responds to the rapid expansion of organizations, businesses, and markets to a global dimension," said Dr. Stephen Kirkpatrick, dean of the School of Organizational Leadership for University of the Rockies. "The globalization of markets around the world has made the production of many goods and services multinational, instead of regionally-specific. This program prepares students to understand the cultural, political and diplomatic issues involved when any business or organization strives to succeed across international boundaries."

The specialization in International Leadership is currently available online and on-campus through University of the Rockies. It is not intended to prepare students for licensure as professional counselors, and does not lead to licensure. Students should check applicable laws in the state in which they reside and work to determine requirements for licensure.
