The Ashford University Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security and Emergency Management was developed to provide students with a broad view of homeland security and emergency management at the federal, state and local levels. This program will address the areas of counter-terrorism, emergency planning for natural disasters, terrorism response, and research and analysis. It will also offer an interdisciplinary foundation of courses including ethics, international relations, and cyber crime, with a strong emphasis on American Government and the United States Constitution.

The Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security and Emergency Management will prepare students for careers in homeland security, border patrol, public and private security, counter terrorism, and emergency management.
